putting a generic submit interaction button on a master slide

Nov 06, 2014

Is it possible to put a button on the master slide, add a trigger to submit the interaction when clicked, and use it as a template for all question slides.

i.e. will it know to submit the interaction on the slide in the same way as the built in submit button?

Hello Ari!

Unfortunately adding a submit interaction button on the master slide will not allow to choose which interaction to submit. Since you cannot modify the button from slide level, it will not submit.

The default built in submit button is set to automatically submit each quiz slide. Is there a reason for not being able to use this feature?

If you need to use a custom design, another thing you could do is create this on the master slide, and set it to "jump to next slide" then on slide level cover it with a transparent object that can Submit the slide. However, it may be easier to just copy/paste the custom button from slide to slide.

Hello Emily,

Yes I don’t want to use the feature because it adds the thick bar on the player frame. I have just made a question slide and duplicated it with my custom submit button.
