Quest for best e-learning templates for new medical e-learners

Dec 16, 2015

Dear community,

I am a new e-learner developer.  I have a quandary.  I have a three -four hour live lecture with a 20 question quiz which I am making into a  e-learning module for future viewing. I loved the tab interaction templates, but the e-learners, seemed not to understand that once they answered a few questions, they would go back to the beginning to click the next tab.   The teacher is just wishing for a video then a multiple answer question, then video etc.  I was hoping for a more interactive way.

I have over 36 of these modules to make. Any thoughts of how to do it?

Thanks!

We've built courses that show the video (edited down to ~30 mins) and have synched the associated presentation slides to it to provide a less static experience to the user. Typically we've interspersed the videos with MCQs and I found this method to be effective given the context.

If you require more interactivity maybe you could swap out the MCQs for some of the other interactions to mix things up a bit.

I also wonder whether the videos will be too long at 3-4 hours that the user wouldn't be able to keep concentrating, most feature films aren't even that long! Could you edit them down or split them over a number of mini modules?

Hi, Tamarah -- Many thanks for the question you've raised, and I see that David has already shared a really great response! I would have to agree with his suggestion to break your presentation into smaller, more digestible sections if at all possible.
