Question about states and layers

Aug 17, 2017

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie here and just getting started on my first Articulate project. I'm hoping that someone can help me with a problem I have.

So basically, I have a text box, which will be filled with information. I created a state called "Flagged" and added a red flag icon to represent that the info has been flagged. The state change is triggered by a click. Ok, so the problem is when I have many info boxes on the slides, when I click several info boxes, some of the flags appear below some of the other boxes. Is there something I can do when creating the state, to make sure that the flag always appear on top of other boxes? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Items on a slide are presented layered  (Send to back, bring to front - kind of layering)  Therefore the states of those objects are also layered.

You can adjust which items are on the top of others by moving them up higher in the timeline.  However, if the boxes are close together so that something is always overlapping something else, then the "State" may not be your best solution.  This may be a case where a layer works best.  Just deselect the "Hide other layers" option on your layer properties.
