Question banks

I'am working on a course about arithmetic for an Elementary school and I want my 'students' to train themeselve by answering about ten questions every day during their schoolyear. For this I need a question bank that randomly picks the question out of a lot of questions like 1+4, 368 / 2, etc. At this time I get it done with variables but it takes a long time to fill the bank and get the job done. Does any of you know if there is an other easier and quicker way to get this job done?
Thx
Paul

Hello Paul, are you just looking for the default question banks, or something more than that?
Here are some tutorials on how to use the default question banks that ship with Storyline -
Using question banks: http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/using-question-banks.aspx

Hi Brain,
Thx for your response. I've checked the tutorials that you've send me, but I think that I need something more. Like you can see by the following link ( http://www.educhunks.nl/wp-content/uploads/articulate_uploads/tafel_van_19/story.html ) there are a lot of questions that I need to put in the question bank and this is only one calculation table. I'am searching for a way to fill the question bank with hundreds of this kind of questions.
Before I started to work with articulate storyline I worked with an other program. With this program I had the possibility to upload an excelsheet with a lot of questions. By the way, this was the only thing that worked well in this program
Anyway, thanks again for your response and if you come up with some other ideas, please let me know ;)
You could generate the questions using javascript, use SL vars to present the questions.
Thx Berno,
I already suspected that something might be possible with JavaScript, but my knowledge of JS isn't that good. Do you have an example of a script that I can use as a startingpoint?
Hi Paul,
I don't not have an example available but it would be possible to create random calculations and present them in SL.
If you'd like we could talk about this further in the next couple of days.
Regards, Berno.
Hi Berno,
Sounds great to work on this together. I've checked out your profile and find out that you're in Nijmegen. If you want we can meet in Nijmegen. It's not that far from Amersfoort
For details about time and place you can send an email to paul@eyespirations.com

Finally got my Math lesson 100% IpadProof http://www.educhunks.nl/optellen
Thx for your support
I like it, great work on this! Did you end up using Berno's javascript solution to generate the math questions?
Thx Brain, the javascript solution of Berno worked very well, but unfortunately not on the mobil player for the IPad so I had to search for an other solution. In a view days I will post my output file on this forum so other users of SL can use it.
