Question banks & timed quizzes

Hello!

I'm having some difficulty with an e-learning module I've been working on.

The module has a gamification element where learners can 'earn' extra time in the final quiz with activities throughout the module.

I've set up a branching scenario with four final quizzes with different time limits. Each one is in a different scene and uses a different question bank and results slide. However, whichever one I go to, the time limit is always the same.

Before I started using the question bank, it seemed to work ok, so maybe it's this that's stopping it from working.

Any advice you could give would be very much appreciated.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing in your course.

We do have an issue reported that sounds similar to what you may be seeing:

Timer sets to start at the first question slide in a question bank isn't working correctly if you have multiple results slides with a different timer set on each.

Which also supports your theory with the question banks, because the workaround we have listed is:

  • Remove the question slides in a question bank.
