I was reviewing a course built in Storyline when I came across an interesting bug. When I roll the cursor over the options in this mutiple choice question, the options jump around. I've attached a clip. Has anyone seen this? Any suggestions on how to fix it will be greatly appreciated.
Before you break up the file, how are you viewing the published content? Are you uploading it to a web server, LMS or publishing for CD? Make sure you're not viewing the project locally, or you'll run into some issues.
If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
If you've tried that and still continue to see the options jumping around, just let me know. I'll take a look at the file when you're able to share it.
The size of the choice boxes may be be causing them to overlap and thus they appear to be dancing when you mouse over (due to the highlighth effect).
To fix this, edit this question slide on 'Slide view' and then try to resize the 2nd choice boxe. You may need to shift the 2nd, and then 3rd and 4th box down.

That was it. Don't know why the boxes were overlapping but I separated them and it seems to be fine now. THANKS!

Hi Nancy!
Unfortunately, I can't seem to download or view that attachment. I had Pete take a look and he's unable to download it, as well.
Can you post the .story file here so I can see what's going on? If the file is large, can you recreate the issue in a new file?
Thanks!
I will try to pull out the question and send it to you. It looks fine in .story and when I preview it. The problem is in the published file.
I created a screenr, hopefully you can see it.

Thanks for the screenr, Nancy! And wow, that text is certainly dancing around, isn't it?
If the content is uploaded to a server (as mentioned in my previous post) I would definitely like to test the file on this end.
Let me know if you're able to post that file here and I'll take a look.
Thanks!
Thanks, Christine. I was viewing it on our LMS - SumTotal. I have to run to a meeting but will post when I return.
Hi Nancy - Just wanted to introduce myself. We also use SumTotal LMS and I always like to connect with other users whenever I run across them.
Hi Brian, always happy to meet someone I can commiserate with. LOL
Well, misery does love company as they say
Seriously, though, always interested in networking, sharing best practices and all of that! Good luck with your current dilemma
