I've a screen recording, and want to add in a new question slide relating to one of the frames shown, using that frame as the background, effectively showing the question over the top of the screen... I'm struggling a bit to work out how I can do this.. Any advice??
Is the screen recording a video or slide by slide? If video can you preview it and use print screen or snag it to capture the screen you want. Otherwise if slide by slide just duplicate the slide?
It's slide by slide, I tried duplicating the slide I wanted, but it's already a question as it's recorded in test mode, so there is a hotspot on there already, and I can't change the duplicated slide to a multi answer question. So I've added a blank slide with the question on, but need the image from the original.
The problem with doing a print screen or so on is that it's difficult to replicate the dimensions correctly, so the final product doesn't behave smoothly from one screen to the next. I just thought I'd be able to do an 'insert from screencast' type of thing....
if you insert a new slide then go to Insert > Record Screen and grab the 'in use' screencast and insert it in 'View mode' - you should then be able to just delete the captions and mouse icons that display on the slide you need - that may work for you

Thanks Wendy, I will look at that, but, in the meantime, I have managed to work out another solution.. :-)
Select Action Fine Tuning, and right click on the frame... You get options in there to save the frame.. which is exactly what I needed... Yay!!
Yay! Is right I learnt something too - thanks for sharing.
Glad you got this sorted Paul and thanks for sharing :)
