Questions blocked when retrying Quiz
Oct 06, 2015
Hey guys,
I'm having some strange issues with a project and can't seem to diagnose the problem. I originally created a module with a Pre-Assessment and Final Assessment. The Final has multiple attempts so the user can go back and retry the questions. This all works fine, however, I needed to create a new version of this project that doesn't use the Pre-Assessment, so I deleted it and retargeted everything to navigate correctly. When testing this new version, when I try the Final Assessment once, its fine, but when I retry it, the question are blocked and I can't click them.
I added the Pre-Assessment back in and simply navigated around it, and the questions worked fine. So something in the Pre-Assessment is affecting the Final, but they are not connected by any variables, they are drawn from different Question banks, and are not otherwise connected.
I can leave the Pre-Assessment in there, and navigate around it, but I need a way to remove it completely without breaking the rest of my project.
Unfortunately I can't upload the files as it is a client project, but please let me know if you need any more information. There must be some function that I'm not aware of that is linking the Question banks or something, so if anyone can think of something I might be missing here I would really appreciate some advice on this issue.

Hi, William -- Sorry to hear of the difficulties you are experiencing here! Would you be able to create and share a sample non-client file that reproduces the error you are seeing? If that's not possible, you would be welcome to share your file privately with me using this form (and all files are reviewed confidentially).
Hi William! Sounds hard to diagnose without seeing. Have you checked the setup on the Results Slide to be sure that it's only looking to your final assessment?
If you could share the file privately, you are welcome to do so here.
Hey guys,
I have uploaded the file privately under the title: Storyline - Assessment Issue Testing with the name William. I have explained in teh description exactly what my issue is and how to replicate it also.
Thank you in advance for taking a look at this for me, and for respecting client confidentiality.
Cheers,
Will
Thanks Will! I received it (00657829) and responded.
