Questions consisting of a Series of Pictures Requiring One Answer

Apr 10, 2019

Hi,

I am trying to create a set of questions which require the learner to evaluate a series of between five and ten photographs before allocating an answer between 1 and 4.

In an ordinary classroom layout you show the photos on the projector and then the students answer which is straightforward.

In Articulate most of the question types and examples I have seen show the full question using one slide. For my situation I would like to create a question which consists of the five to ten slides and then the question which is answered. Is this possible?

Another option I thought might work just using one slide, was to insert all the photos on one slide and have them appear one after another. That is show the first photo, replace by the next photo etc etc and then have the question.

Any thoughts on the best way forward for this kind of question within Articulate.

Hi Adrian,

Two ways to do this would be to place each photo on its own page, and lightbox each slide from the question page. Another way would be to put each photo on a layer on the question page, with buttons to reveal each layer. To me, the lightbox approach is a bit cleaner, as Storyline automatically puts up the button/marker to close the lightbox. If you go this route, I would be sure that each of your photo pages has no navigation of its own.
