Quiz layers in storyline

Nov 29, 2013

Hi,

I've done several type of quiz in Storyline. I've customized with succes the feedback layers for good, wrong and try again layers.

I have attempted to customize a layer for those who do not answer at all the question. In this case, Storyline publish a layer mentionning that the user has not answered the question. And this one, I have not succeded to customize. I have always the default layer appearing even when I have created a specific layer for this  "no answer".

I have, for sure, missed something.

There might be a parameter somewhere to edit.

If someone can give me some indication on what to do or where to look, it would help a lot.

Thanks

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

As Phil mentioned, the layer to remind a user that they need to answer the question before proceeding is built in, and there isn't an editable option. You're welcome to submit a feature request to be able to edit that layer.  As Phil mentioned, you can also change the player colors as described here.

Hi All,

I just wanted to mention that although you must do this for each question, you CAN create a custom invalid answer layer. There's a Jeannette Brooks "how to" screenr in this thrread

The info for how to change the invalid answer pop-up  via the player (see Phil's note above) is on page 2 f the player colors guide that Ashley (thank you!) provided a link to. I took a quick screenshot in case it helps. Note that changes you make here WILL affect other pop-ups, not just invalid answer.

I do hope you make a feature request, Patrick, for the ability to make the Invalid Answer option a layer that can be customized more easily...more like the correct/incorrect layers...I have!
