I have created a short learning module wit a quiz at the end. the quiz has questions. However, when i get to the results page the quiz does not calculate the result, in fact it returns a zero% regardless of the result. any suggestions on how to resolve?
In order for a quiz to calculate the results, you need to use Submit Interaction as a trigger. This then keeps a running total of the user's progress and updates the variables associated with the quiz.
In your case, the best way to activate that trigger is when the user selects their answer. These triggers (one for each button) should appear at the top of the trigger order, ahead of the Show Layer trigger.
If you look at one of the standard built-in quiz formats, you will see that the Submit Interaction is automatically generated when the slide is set up and is linked to the Submit button.
I have updated the first two slides for you in the attachment below. If you have any further issues, don't hesitate to post them here.
Very helpful and the changes did have a impact. However, as much as i have tried i cant seem to get the scoring to add correctly. all answer are marked correctly as either correct or incorrect - yet my score when never appears as 100% when i get all answer correct. my last result was 50%.
looks like you have a corrupt Result slide - there should be 4 system generated variables when you insert a result slide - you only have 3. This could be the issue.
Ok, i deleted this slide and inserted a new results page. This one has the 4 system generated variables yet its still giving me a 50% result when all answer are correct? any further ideas?
I checked that all quiz slides were included in the result slide
I checked that all quiz slides were giving a score of 10 on correct response.
I added the variable reference for score to each of the quiz slides to make sure SL was calculating the score...here is the issue.
Q's 2,5,6,7,and 9 are not registering a score - perhaps take a look at how these are setup and see if there is a difference with the ones that are working. Is the answer selected as correct in the form view is actually correct?
eg. Q2 - the answer in form view is Decline, but the 'heading in the right direction' comes up when you select Help them - so which is it?
