I just downloaded the free 30 day trial and am trying to build a quizz. I can type the question ok but when I type the answer and preview I can not see any answers or they are in different place than they should be. Is this just something to do with the 30 day trial?
Storyline shouldn't behave like you described, no matter if it's trial or full licence version. What type of quiz are you building? Is it any default one or freeform?
The trial is a full version of our software, so as Joanna mentioned it sounds unusual. If you could share a copy of your .story file here and possibly a screenshot of what you're seeing that'll help us troubleshoot further.
I know this is an old post, but I occasionally have this problem reported to me from users accessing a Storyline quiz in an LMS. Was there a resolution to this issue or suggestion that anyone could share?
UPDATE: I tested the file again this morning - The LMS published content was tested in IE, Google, and Firefox - the issue only occurred in Firefox. I went through the quiz in preview and 4 slides show no answer options. I have this same quiz in 6 other courses (for different campuses). I originally built the course in

Thanks Shelby for the update. Is this still happening in Storyline 3, or only the version you published from Storyline 2? Also do you know if your users are viewing the Flash or HTML5 version?
I'm taking a look at your file now, and that additional information will help!
Hi Ashley,
I hope this works (never clicked on the "Reply" before). I didn't even think about how I published it. It is published as a Flash/HTML5. And yes, Storyline 3 is what it is currently published in.
Thanks,
Shelby

I've been playing around with your file, and I see it in preview as well but it seems limited to only a few multiple choice questions, and I can't replicate this issue in a new file.
Even removing the animation on those quiz answers, still showed them animating in and appearing off the slide stage to the right. I noticed some odd formatting of your answers and how it was wrapping to a new line on those with a lot of text - so I took a look at rewriting some of the answers (or copying the text into Notepad to stripe out formatting and then copying that back into Storyline) and that resolved it on the first 2 questions I tried. Can you give that a test and see if the issue still occurs for you?
Did you write/create this text somewhere else before inserting into Storyline? Can you also confirm that you're working on local project files as described here?
This all makes sense. I just started saving everything to an external drive because my local drive was getting bogged down. This may be the issue.
The file is currently published as a Flash/HTML5. Should I try a different format? I noticed there appeared to be some other issues, not just the answers not showing. I will give it a test, unless you think I should save it locally and see if that resolves the issues.
Yes, saving it locally and then looking to rebuild those slides will be the way to go. You could also look at importing it into a new Storyline file to remove any other lingering effects of working from the external drive.
The Flash/HTML5 output should be the same regardless showing the problematic behavior. Again, I only saw it on the multiple choice slides - so those would be the ones to focus on. Previewing in Storyline 360 will show the HTML5 output - so you can preview to make sure it's all working correctly.
It will still likely have the issue until the formatting on those slides are fixed up. Once you've changed those and you're ready to publish, go ahead and use the "Zip" button on the publish successful window and that'll package it up for your LMS. You can then upload the zipped output to your LMS (if they don't need it zipped just upload the entire contents of the published output folder).

I have tried it with a few of the default templets but it acts the same on either.
hmm..could you please attach your .story file?

Hey Shelby! I'm happy to look into this with you.
Can you identify an common internet browser for these users? Also, which version of Storyline did you use to build the course?
If you'd like to share you .story file here, I'm happy to test it out!

Ashley-can I get away with just saving the zip file to my local drive and publishing to the LMS from there?
Thank you for your help Ashley - will give it a try.
