Quiz Question Not Working After Publish
Mar 17, 2020
I have a multiple response quiz slide and when I preview both the slide by itself and the entire scene, it works as expected but when I publish the project (I have tried to publish both to Review 360 and to SCORM) I cannot check any of the answers. When I click submit it says I must respond to the question so it's not that the checkmarks are not being seen, it really is not checking them. This is the second question in the quiz and the first question is exactly the same with the same states and triggers and the one that is not working but the first question works fine.
Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening?

Hi Christina,
I am sensing it might be a browser issue have you tried opening it on different browsers ie. Chrome, Firefox, etc..? It is always my point of isolation whenever I encounter issue like this as each browser may have a different response to your published file.
Hope this helps!
Hi Christina,
Sorry to hear your second question is giving you so many issues! Oliver makes a great point about checking multiple browsers since this seems to be happening only when you publish.
Are you comfortable with sharing your .story file for testing? You can share it publicly here, or privately with our support engineers. We'll delete it when we nail down what's going on!
Thank you for your help. I am attaching just the quiz part of the course.
Hi Christina!
I'm happy to help! It looks like the initial state of the answer choices is set to Selected, which is why you can't click any of the choices. You'll need to change the initial state to Normal. I've created a short tutorial for you explaining how to do this.
I'm not changing the state to selected - It keeps changing it to selected when I select the correct answers in form view.
When I preview the slide or scene it works but once published, it doesn't.
I have tried this in multiple browsers but thank you for the suggestion.
Hi Christina!
It looks like I missed the triggers in the layers! Sorry about that. There are "Submit Results" triggers on the layers which actually cancel out the rest of the questions. You only need to submit the interaction when on the base layer. I've disabled these triggers and everything is working as expected. You can see my test here!
I'm also attaching the updated project to this discussion.
Thank you SO MUCH! That must have happened because I copied the base layer to create the incorrect/correct layers. Lesson learned.
