Quiz Results Layers Not Showing

Sep 03, 2013

I created a simple quiz (pick one) with a correct answer and three incorrect answers. I set the quiz attempts to be unlimited, not necessarily to retake the question question right away, but so that a person can go back to the quiz slide later and re-answer it (I just like the navigation to be totally free so that a person can relisten or redo anything that they want to.

I did not like the design of the automatically generated results slide layers, so I deleted those layers and made my own new layers for correct and incorrect results. How do I connect these layers to the quiz? Currently when I hit submit, nothing happens....neither correct or incorrect layer shows. I think this is because I deleted the original correct and incorrect layers. How do I tell the quiz that I made new ones?

Hi Kristen,

I just tried this in Storyline, and my quiz automatically identified the layers when created from the question slide, and indicated it as such in my quiz's feedback section like below:

Did you make your new layers as a Feedback master, or directly on the slide? If you made it as a feedback master, you'd need to pick that from the layer in the top right hand corner where it says "Feedback master."

If you'd like to share your .story file here I'm happy to take a look. If you'd prefer to not post it in the forums, you can share it with our Support team privately.

Hi Cheryl!

I took a look at your file. Some of your questions mention feedback by choice, yet is not defined and the other slides are set to feedback by question, but the form view does not indicate that there is feedback.

There is a disconnect between the layers you've copied and the actual question slides.

You can correct this by specifying feedback in the form view - even if just a 'space' to activate the layer, then in slide view applying your feedback master to the layer.
