Quiz Results silde help

Sep 20, 2012

I'm working on a making a test. I was wondering if it was possible to show the "test taker" one set of results of the selected questions and then have the test email me the results of all the questions split into the 3 different categories.

So the brake down of the test goes like this:::

Hard Math question:: If the user gets it right it brings them to another Hard Math question. Then if they get it wrong it brings then to a vocabulary question then to a lower math question and back to the hard and so on so forth.

Now at the end of the quiz I just want the user to see the score of the Hard math questions and when they hit submit I would like it to email me the results of all 3 of the subjects. The hard math, vocabulary, and lower math

I have the email part working at the end of the quiz I'm just not seeing any results or scores in the email.

Thank you and sorry I'm still new to this program.

I know one of my co-workers had found a post saying the new updates for storyline made it impossible for storyline to email you a detailed results score.

We got the test to email us a report but all we got was a blank email. That and we can't figure out how to have it email the results of the 3 different subjects in the test.

Hey David,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. So unfortunately, as your co-worker discovered, Storyline doesn't support the emailing of results. That's due to modern browsers' security measures. But I've been trying to brainstorm on other ideas for you, and found a couple threads that might be interesting. How about sending an email when, say, a user completes a certain section of the course? Not necessarily results, but something to indicate that they have reached a milestone. Check it out

Or how about generating a certificate to print instead of an email?

As for tracking the results of multiple quizzes, you may be able to track more than one SCO in a course, using any of the unsupported methods described here

Just spitballing, and maybe others can jump in with more ideas for you, but wanted to get the outside-the-box gears cranking. Hope that helps, and good luck with the project
