Quiz scores tracking without LMS

Jul 14, 2016

Is it possible to send reporting and tracking information somewhere else than to a LMS, other than to the user himself? I found out that it is possible to  create result slides that give learners dynamic feedback at the end of quizzes and surveys. They also send reporting and tracking information to learning management systems, including learners' responses and scores. But what if a client doesn't want to buy a LMS and does want to do tracking results?

Hi Leslie,

We recently created a quiz with 50 questions using Articulate Storyline 2.   This course was published in Coursemill LMS.  However when we ran reports in LMS, it showed no reports.  It is very important for our organization to assess course results to provide certification.  We have a tight deadline for this week.  Please can you help?  Here is the file and the screen-shot of the error msg from our LMS. Thanks so much.

Hey Indrani!

I also wanted to mention I noticed that you are tracking the quiz result slide on 6.49. Is that the correct result slide you want to track? I noticed you have multiple results slides in your course, so you can either choose one to track if you only want to report the scores for one of the quizzes, or you can insert a final results slide to combine the other results slide into a cumulative score. You can read more about that in Step 2 here

Hi Indrani,

It sounds like you want Slide 2.3 Results Slide to be counted and reported to the LMS. You don't necessarily need to delete the others; all you need to do is make sure that Slide 2.3 is the designated result slide to report. To do this, click Publish > click the LMS tab > click Reporting and Tracking > click the Tracking tab. In the Result slide to report dropdown, select slide 2.3.

Once you make this change and test it within the LMS, let me know if you're seeing the scores reported to the LMS correctly.
