i need help! i seem to have an issue where some of the quiz slides are linking to other slides without any triggers and i cannot find how it is making these links (which i do not want).
see image, slide 1.17 links to 1.18 but i never created that link and i have no idea how to delete the link. The issue seems to be related to the sequential numbering of the slides. But how to do stop the link when the slide is in a different chapter?
see the attached quick video - shows you from the slide view where you can locate the layout that a slide is using - then moves to the View tab > Slide Master so you can see if there are any triggers that your slides may be inheriting.
If you still can't work it out - it's easier for someone to help you if you can upload your .story file so people can see and work with your setup.
Just use the 'ADD ATTACHMENT' button at the bottom of the post to upload your story file.
And here is a link to a tutorial about using Slide Masters.
Hi Marianne, In Articulate in 'Story View' (ie the view which shows you to whole course layout tree like you show in your att .jpg) - when you hover over the arrow from 1.17 to 1.18 do you see the red highlight? If so you should simply be able to click the arrow to display the trigger for that connection where you can simply change it. Hoping that might be an easy fix for you?
That's the weird thing Christine, it doesn't :( , I think it's related to the Master slide layout and some setting that auto links slides with the next sequential number. Stilling looking to find where that configuration is hiding.
The line/link you are seeing is not active. If you were to implement the Next button on this slide, then it would link to 1.16 though.
If it were active, you would be able to click the link.
From 1.4 to 1.5 there is a next button, but no indication in Story View, so I would look to your triggers on your slides moreso than the arrows you see here.

Are you using a master slide layout that has jump to next slide triggers?

Hi Marianne!
If you'd like to share your .story file, we could take a look :)
i have attached the story file.
slide 1.15 auto links to 1.16 without any visible triggers.
