I'm having difficulty with setting a standard format for quiz questions. I'm able to apply a slide layout to get the background the way I want. But the challenge is coming in when I want the question and response fields to be in specific areas. Can you let me know how to do this? Or lead me to the right tutorial?
Thank you Peter. While this is great information, it does not provide information on how to manipulate the quiz slide master. I have to manually change each quiz slide to have the question and answer fields in the area that I want. Is there a way to change that layout?
If I'm understanding your question, there are 2 things you'd like to do:
change the position of the quiz questions.
change the position of the correct, incorrect (and perhaps try again) answers.
For the answers, click View >Feedback Master. The top master controls the position of the grey rectangle that the feedback sits on (Rectangle 1 in the timeline) and the divider line (line 3)
The feedback place holders can be repositioned on the matching feedback layouts that sit under the Master: correct, incorrect, try again.
For the questions, click View >Master and click on the Question layout (I believe 3rd one down under the main master).
If this is all a bit confusing, please say so and one of us will jump in with some screenshots.
Just to add a bit extra as I had a similar problem in wanting to rearrange the position of answers on a question slide. On the Question Slide Master (not Feedback Master) you can right click on either the question or answer rectangle and choose Format and then Text box. At the bottom are options to change internal margins which will move the question or answers around. I did this because the answers were too close to the left side in the default. For slides already created you will then need to go to each slide in normal slide view and choose layout then question slide to reset each one to the new layout. New question slides will now have the new layout automatically.
