quiz templates in sl2

Hi Julie,

There is not the same set of templates available in Storyline 2 as there was from Storyline 1 in the templates drop down - but any of the templates you used in SL1 can be opened and upgraded in SL2. Also, there are a number of downloads here that you may want to look into using. 

I'm trying to access the basic quizzing templates that were available in SL1 when you went to File/open or maybe it was file import. I'm not looking for slick templates for this project. Just these basic standardized quizzing templates. How can I access those? If I have to open SL1, I'll need directions on how to do this.

Just to confirm we're talking about the same thing, when in SL1 you had the option to click to insert a new slide and choose templates at the top and see the top interactions such as these:

 You have that same option in SL2, and the templates are the same - I thought you initially were referring to the start pages, as those options for templates are different. You could also choose from the Quizzing tab and any of those potential layouts or quiz options.

If I'm misunderstanding, could you provide a bit more information about what you're looking to do?

They're in the same location in Storyline 2 - when go to insert a slide, you can choose templates at the top and then the drop down will show you an available templates. Here is a tutorial on how to work with templates in Storyline.

I'm currently using SL1 and I used to be able to access Top Interations Templates (as shown above). Today I attempted to access and was unable to (see attached) locate the dropdown menu. How can I get this information back?

I have a similar issue. I just installed and started using Storyline 2 and only see "Modern Interactions" in the drop down when inserting a new slide. How do I see the SL1 templates?

Hi Tara! Sorry to hear that you have run into difficulty.

We had a user in another thread here share her solution from support:

Here’s what you can do to migrate Storyline 1 templates to your Storyline 2 software –

 1.         Download the zipped Storyline templates here –http://vinzon.articulatetest.com/StorylineTemplates.zip

 2.         Extract to your local folder.

 3.         Double-click the .storytemplate file. When asked to upgrade, click Upgrade.

 4.         Wait for the upgrade to finish. The Top Interaction template dropdown should now show in Storyline when you create a new slide.

There is also some additional conversation in that thread that may be of assistance.

So glad there is a way to restore the SL1 templates! Unfortunately, the link you provided here and the one in the thread you linked to do not work. I have tried it in a two different browsers and have tried just clicking it and then copying it and pasting it into the browser address field. Any idea where the template may have moved?
