Quiz with a rotation

Sep 14, 2018

Hello,

my task is the following:

1. show the user a video with a two-dimensional rotating object.

2. Ask him in which position (angle) the object must be oriented to fulfill the requirement of a task (it is about a optical measurement, the orientation of the rotating object is crucial). A range of +/- 5 degrees shall be accepted as correct answer.

How to do? Which type of quiz slide is suitable?

I tried to insert a video of a powerpoint animation. But a click event "pause media" does not respond precisely enough.

My next idea is to put a rotation item ("Drehsteuerung" in german) aside the video and let the user turn this to the correct angle. Can I read it's position/status out as a quiz answer?

Any hints are appreciated, thanks in advance!

Best regards, Hans

If I've understood your requirements the attached file should put you on the right path.

I use a free form 'pick one' interaction to mark the question. First the submit button checks if the value of the dial's variable is inbetween a certain range or not. Then it submits the interaction, ticking one of two check boxes that are off the stage, before determining which feedback to show.

Hope this helps.

Not sure you need to go the hidden question type any more this uses a numeric question with the numeric value assigned to the dial variable, this way you can set ranges and use the power of the built in question type.

A preview can be seen here the correct range is between 10-25)
