Quizzing Question - Storyline

Dec 18, 2013

Does anyone know how to create a question that allows three text responses?

For example:

Q:  State three possible reasons why this theory will not work

Response:

1

2

3

Hi Alexandra,

So, you want 3 separate text responses? Have you tried inserting a text entry? You could do this 3 times. Here's a screenshot of one

1. On the ribbon, click Insert (on the Slide group)

2. Click Data Entry (Interactive Object group) and select Text Entry

3. Click and drag the crosshair onto the slide and a data entry text box will be created. You can see a reference to it on the timeline.

Perhaps you can tell us more about what your needs are. Please shout out with any questions.

Hi Alexandra,

I'm glad Becky's answer worked for you.

In regards to "referring back to it" -that'll depend on how you want them to see it again.

1. The user could navigate back to the slide, and see what they previously typed in (not edit it without setting up some additional triggers to reset it).

2. You could refer to it later on another slide, by calling the variables and the formatting is always the same to reference a variable:

 3. If you'd like to report their answers out to an LMS, you'll need to set it up according to this method.
