Radio button alignment issue

Jun 18, 2015

I have a test that was originally developed in Storyline. I am now editing it in Storyline 2, and running into maddening issues with alignment on the radio buttons. If I replace any of the answer choices or add new choices, I get  problems with either the radio buttons or the associated text not being aligned with the other items. This is driving me crazy. SOMETIMES if I delete all the answers and start over it resolves the problem, but sometimes it does not. Below is a screen capture of the type of thing I am seeing. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there any fixes or is there any way to manually control the alignment?

Hi, indenting helps when, as in the image above, only the text is offset. Thanks for that tip, since it solved part of my problem. However on some screens I am getting the radio button itself offset as well. Is there any way to change the indent of the radio button itself instead of just the text?

See example below. This is a question that was originally created in Storyline 1. Now I am editing it in Storyline 2, and have added a new answer option. As you can see, the radio button on the new answer is misaligned. Right now, the only way to fix this is to delete ALL of my answer options and then re-enter them from scratch. This is particularly a nuisance when I have item-specific feedback, as I then need to re-enter all the feedback as well.

Hi, Monique -- Thanks for the update. Could you try a few things for me to rule out some common causes of errors and erratic behavior. Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on Update 5 can be found here

Please let us know if issues persist.
