Radio button checked/selected

Nov 03, 2017

I'm not really sure how to address this issue and I'm hoping there are other SL3 users who found a temporary workaround. The issue is related to this thread: A selected radio button in multiple choice quiz slides will read as not selected.

Is there another way to notify a screenreader user that they have chosen A or B radio button before they click Submit, at least until this issue in SL3 is resolved? The project has to be in HTML5.

I was thinking maybe a sound effect will play if the yellow highlight box is focused on the radio button that is selected, but I'm not really sure how to pull that off.

Any ideas?

Good news, Rio! I'm excited to let you know that we just released update 3 for Storyline 3! It includes new features and fixes - check them all out here.

One of the fixes addresses an issue where JAWS screen readers would announce selected answer choices as "not checked" in HTML5 output.

Here’s where you can download and install the latest version of Storyline 3. Let me know how you make out!
