I've been having issues when publishing my course. Every time I publish, a different aspect of the module malfunctions. First, my "Back" buttons disappeared. Second try, the "Back" buttons were fine, but random videos wouldn't work and the video controls disappeared. Third try, visited states were acting up, and again, random videos were not playing.
Why is so much being lost in translation and why is it so random each time? Am I missing something?
Hi there, A. It sounds like you're having trouble viewing the published version of your course when published for LMS. Are you viewing the published output from an LMS? We always recommend hosting your content in its intended environment to make sure all components operate properly.
Also, what browser are you using to view your content? I would want to be sure that you are meeting these system requirements for viewing your course:
I'm still having issues, even when viewing the published course from our LMS. We are encountering random error screens (blank white screens with an exclamation point in the center) when clicking on various parts of the course. The error screens do not appear at the same part of the course, but are encountered at random locations by different users. Please advise. The file is attached above if you'd like to take a look at it.
Hi there A. Mart! Internet Explorer is not a supported browser for content viewed with HTML5. Do you know if the link to your published output points to HTML5 or Flash?
Also, you may want to look at testing it in another environment such as SCORM Cloud to see if the issue is due to the course or limited to your LMS. You can review the directions here to help you go through that testing.
Many thanks for your advice. According to the SCORM Cloud test, course incompatibility with the LMS seems to be the trouble. I tried unchecking the HTML5 option when publishing the course for LMS, but that doesn't seem to work either. Is there a recommended way to publish for an LMS that uses IE?
Unchecking the HTML5 option should work, since your users would view the course with Flash. At this point, since you tested with SCORM Cloud and have determined that the issue is with your specific LMS, I would contact your LMS provider for further troubleshooting. Just curious - what LMS are you using?
We actually have a forum thread exclusively for Cornerstone users (started by a Cornerstone user) that you mind find helpful. There's three years worth of knowledge shared there, so that might be a great place to look for solutions that are specific to your LMS.

Thanks for your advice, Brian. I've attached it here.
Also, I should note that the module exports fine as long as I don't export it as LMS.

Also, IE is our default browser--could this have something to do with the errors?

The LMS we are using is Cornerstone on Demand.
