Please help. I have 20 question banks set to randomly select one question from each. Every time I preview/publish the course the same questions are being selected from each bank. Attached is a shot of one of the bank settings. What am I doing wrong? Thank you
Hi there, Kelly. If you want a draw slide to randomly draw a new question the next time you visit it, you'll need to "reset the results." After answering each draw, do you visit a results slide where a reset can happen?
If you can build in a results slide, which doesn't have to look like a results slide, and trigger a reset, you should see randomization when revisiting draws. Feel free to share your file here for some specific advice!
All of the information and tutorials I have been reading for days here trying to figure this out only states to check the select Randomly checkbox? But what is needed is creating a result slide for each draw? How do I prevent the result slide from appearing? Or calculating?
You only need one results slide, and the learner will need to visit it for all the triggers to execute and calculate results.
I saw you had the "Review results" button enabled, but not a "Retry" yet. That's the piece that would reset the question banks and allow learners to see a new draw on a second attempt.
It does look like you started to remove pieces of the Results slide to mask it further as Crystal suggested. How do you expect the learners to navigate back to retry questions? That tidbit will help us make some edits to your file!
So, to sum it up:
A question draw can only be reset to show new questions using a Results slide Retry/reset
The results slide can look however you want
It will still calculate results, and needs to have a user triggered option to retry/reset the banks.
