Rank some But Not All

Hi. I would like the student to rank the top three statutes from a list of nine by assigning/typing 1, 2, and 3 in a box next to each. I've added the correct answers in red pen for reference.
I have tried multiple choice, multiple response, and pick many solutions but I keep crashing Storyline so I think I'm out of bounds. I cannot figure out how to just accept three typed answers but leave the remainder of the boxes blank. Perhaps I'm over thinking this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The file should be attached
Phil,
Thank you for the file. I was able to use it to build out my my question. My only problem is when I add it to my existing Storyline file I get an "invalid answer" reply when I answer the question correctly. Any thoughts on what might be happening?
Mac
Sorry. I forgot to attach the file showing the question as built.
No problem, Is it when you use the built in submit button? I did a quick check and my submit button still works but the built in one doesn't have all the triggers on it.
I did notice it happens with the built-in button but it also happens with your submit button when inside my course file.
Hi Mac,
I was able to take a look at the sample you shared above and it's working as intended for me as well.
Any chance you could share the bigger file so that we could take a look?
I did also look and as long as you use the submit button it works fine, I would agree with Leslie it may be something in the larger file if you reuse the variables anywhere.
I would set triggers on the slide to reset all the variables to blank when the timeline starts
Thank you for the feedback. I have to admit I'm a bit over my head. I'm uploading the file. It's the very last question.
Phil and Leslie,
I removed the other instances of the same slide from the file and that seemed to fix the problem. Could you tell me how to reset the variables to blank when the timeline starts. From the research a did over the weekend it looks like you have to reset them individually but I didn't see how to actually do it.
Thanks very much for all of your help.
Mac
Hi Mac,
You are correct. The triggers to reset the variables would need to be handled individually.
Here is an example of what that may look like with one of your variables:
We do have a feature request for a trigger to reset all the variables. I'll add this conversation to the report.
Leslie and Phil,
Just a quick note of thanks to both of you for your help. You all provide exceptional service and I appreciate it.
Regards,
Mac
