Read variable from querystring or SCORM data package?
Aug 05, 2015
I am working on a course that requires a different user experience for certain users (these are team coaches.) For most users, the course is gated and the must visit each page in the proper order. For the coaches group however, the course allows for free navigation (so they can quickly access any point).
I already have the code in place that will lock or unlock the slides. What I need is a method for triggering which setting will be used. I was thinking of either having the course url contain a querystring OR adding the variable to the user's scorm data. Has anyone had experience with this type of functionality before? What are my best options?
BTW The LMS uses SCORM 2004 v2

I understand that you're able to get url into the course and there is different url for users and different for the coaches. If yes, I recommend create code which check from which url is opened and tell about it Storyline.
Thanks for your suggestion here, Kamil! Please let us know if that will work for you, Randall, or if you need further assistance. Hopefully more suggestions will come in from the community to help!
