Periodically when using SL2 I create a course that plays perfectly when published for the Web but won't play - won't even open - when zipped and uploaded to our LMS without returning any errors.
Have you ever experienced this, and if so, how do you address the underlying causes and fix it (better yet, avoid it)?
Thanks Walt, I should have specified that after testing the course as a Web product using Publish>Web to validate that it's working, I then use Publish>LMS and it doesn't work. I know I'm doing the LMS publish step correctly but sometimes the result is a non-performing course; that's what I'm trying to puzzle through.
I would try uploading the LMS output of the course to SCORM Cloud and check if there are any red flags there. If it does indeed play in SCORM Cloud, then you should look at your LMS's debug log for clues as to why it fails there.

Don't zip the web course; publish for LMS and zip that course. Web and LMS publishing produce two different products.

Hi Joanna,

Hope this helps,
