Recent Chrome Update and Storyline issue?

Jun 04, 2020

Hi there,

There was a recent update to Chrome and now my Storyline 360 files that are published to my LMS are no marking as complete.  We're trying to figure out if it's a Storyline or LMS issue - I wanted to ask if anyone else is experiencing this?

Hi Lauren,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing those details!

Since it seems like you are tracking completion using a Results slide, there are a couple of other factors you will want to look into:

  • What is the LMS Reporting set to? When tracking completion using a Results slide, you will want to be sure the LMS Reporting is set to either Passed/Incomplete or Passed/Failed.
  • Have you had a chance to test your course in SCORM Cloud? SCORM Cloud is an industry-standard testing engine that helps to determine if there is an issue with the course or with the LMS. If your course works properly at SCORM Cloud but not in your LMS, that could indicate that there is a snag on the LMS side.

If you can share your files with us, we are more than happy to help troubleshoot! You can share files with this thread or share them privately here. We'll let you know our findings and will delete it after having a closer look!

Thank you for the reply. I don’t think I understand the Scorm cloud, is this something separate from my Articulate license? Is it just for my own testing and I can select the “little” if I’m only doing around 5 courses a month?

In terms of courses, I have attached one. Our LMS provider is also looking into it. It was working perfectly until a Chrome update.

Hi Lauren,

Happy to help clarify!

SCORM Cloud is an industry-standard testing engine developed by Rustici Software. It is a tool that we use to troubleshoot LMS and Course issues. We have a great guide on using SCORM Cloud to help troubleshoot LMS issues here:

Thank you for sharing your course with me! I recently responded in your Support Case with my findings, so please be on the lookout for that response.

Please keep us updated and let us know if you have any questions!
