I'm looking to purchase a good (but reasonably priced) set of headphones for use in an open-plan office for development purposes. They don't need to have a microphone.
I've got a pair of Bose QC15 headphones, but I think they're outside of your price range.
I did buy some Sennheiser in-ear ones a couple of years ago....can't remember the make or model, but they cost me £40 at the airport - they worked a treat on the plane so I'm sure they'd suite your needs too. A quick look at the Sennheiser website brings up a good long list of suitable sets.
Personally speaking, I don't think you can go far wrong with Bose or Sennheiser.
Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I'd really love to have a pair of the Bose QC15 headphones - but work budget doesn't run that high :(
I'll definitely check out the Sennheiser ones - and did see some Monster noise-cancelling headphones which sound okay for less $ too. Think I need to test-drive some.

Hi Angela
What's your definition of reasonably priced? :)
Hi Glenn - thanks for the response :)
I'm thinking up to 200 Aussie Dollars
