Hey Namrata..... I doubt there is any shortcut key to start recording. But after you click the red button once you can surely pause and continue playing it with whatever shortcut key you assign it. The initial assigned one is ALT+D.
Darshan is correct- no other way to start the recording than using that button either from the top tab or when opening a new instance of Storyline from the left hand side.
You can use the shortcuts as mentioned here to pause or stop recording.
