Record Screen Function

I am no longer able to use the Record Screen function.  I can record a video but at the end of the import process, I receive a message that Storyline encountered an error and is going to close.  When I reopen the program, click on the drop down next to Record Screen to search for the video there is a large red X and I receive another error message.  This time the program doesn't close, but there are no recordings available.
