I have been trying to record my screen for a series of actions, but after I hit Done and try to add the slides as a new scene, I only have 2 slides appear. One for the first action I took, and one for the last action. But for some reason, the 20+ actions in the middle are not showing up. I have not had this happen in the past. Is there anything that anyone can think of that would account for this strange behavior?
If you've rebooted your machine and verified that both applications are using the same security permissions, please let us know the name of the application that you are recording and how are you launching it. We've also seen circumstances where a custom, proprietary application doesn't properly pass events to our Screen Recordings.
I'm actually experiencing a similar problem of "missing slides". The first dozen or so of my actions recorded fine, but the last three of them are not registering. I can manually try to add them in by duplicating the slides with the screen recording and converting to freeform, but it's a lot of work. Any thoughts?
- I've been using Internet Explorer, and have not come across this problem in the year I've been using Storyline, so I don't think permissions are involved.
- No command prompts are involved - just clicking on links on a website.
- I'm on Update #4, using Windows 8.
ETA: Never mind on mine - I'm a moron. The last three links I was clicking were outside of the recording window. *eyeroll*
This would involve multiple layers of screencasting tools, but if the problem is consistently reproducible and you could send us a screencast of the behavior you are experiencing, that would at least allow one of us here at Articulate to see if we can make the problem happen. Thanks!

There are a few circumstances where Storyline's Screen Recordings won't capture all of the necessary details:
