We've just recently started using Storyline, so we're newbies. We've recorded some system demo videos that are playing fine. However if you click on them the video pauses, plays, and restarts if you've hit the end.
I'm not sure if I'm understanding completely, but video in Storyline is inherently interactive. For example, if you place an mp4 video in the slide and publish, you'll be able to click on the video to play, pause, etc.
To stop this from happening, you can cover the video with a hotspot (or transparent shape) so that the learner can't click on the video to start and stop it.
Not sure if it's the exact same issue, but if so, this would do the trick.
The video is ademo video recorded in Storyline. We use markers to highlight some of the areas, which users click on. If they miss and click on the video, it pauses. If the video has ended and they click on it, it restarts from the beginning.
The hot spot appears to be a workaround, but it would be great to be able to disable the click function more directly.
Unfortunately, you can't disable the click function on videos. I realize it's not the ideal solution you're seeking, but I'd suggest placing a hotspot over the video but under the markers. If you'd like to submit direct disabling as a feature request, here's the link.
