I am struggling to record a Java Application - has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a work-a-round. My recordings record without "naming conventions", so each step just says "Click pControl" (pcontrol is the application I am recording). I don;t want to manually reformat/change each step as this is a massive project and manually changing actions is not going to be productive.
Yep, there are problems capturing a Java application.
As far as I know the author of the Java application has to add a Special API (Java Accessibility API) for screen readers, etc. (for visually handycapped/blind users) to get - maybe - access to the names of controls.
It is still difficult even for other e-learning/screen capturing tools to access Java applications and to get control names / descriptions.
I - by myself - do not know any workaround... sorry.
