I attempted to use record someone going through a system process using Storyline while we were screen sharing via WebEx. It didn't work. Is this something that won't work or did I just not do it correctly? Any help would be much appreciated!
I haven't tried this - but I suspect you should be able to record the screen, but it won't pick up the step by step clicks as they're happening on the other users system, so you'll only be able to use it as video on a single slide.
If it just didn't work at all, in the sense that no screen recording was generated - that's something we'd want to find out more information about. Are you able to test recording other things on your computer, say just navigating around a browser or your desktop?
Unfortuately, I used the step by step option to insert the slides versus the video on single slide option. It sounds like that is the issue. I am able to record from my computer, so that's good!
Since I have already inserted the slides already my guess is I am out of luck. Or, is there some way of going back to re-do the insert slides piece?
You can reinsert a screen recording and choose to insert it differently as before. If you look at the "Record screen" button you'll see a small down arrow or carrot - clicking on that will reveal all the screen recordings currently in your project and you're able to choose to insert them again - just use the insert as a video on a single slide.
