I've been working on a few courses over the last couple of weeks and noticed that when I record narration right onto the slide, every once in a while, the audio will just stop. Even after I click save, it appears the full narration is there, but when I replay it's only half. May be something with my recording set-up, but I figured I'd throw it out here to see if anyone else had a similar challenge.
Hi Ali - sorry for the delayed response! So, after some testing we've discovered it's most likely due to how we record narration for the courses. The Designers are creating the content on their own PC then transferring the file to a "studio" PC which has our microphone and audio editing equipment. Once the file is saved and "returned" to the original designer's desk - the audio that was recorded somehow cuts out periodically.
Thanks for the update here, Alicia! Glad you were able to narrow down the cause.
Take a peek over here for our suggested workflow in collaborative environments. I'm not sure how you're moving the files, but if they're being stored or accessed from a network drive or USB drive when editing that can definitely lead to corruption issues.
