When recording a screen capture demonstration in Storyline, I inserted into in a new scene in Try It mode. When previewing the scene, each screen capture disappears after about 10 seconds, even though the timeline for each object on the slide is set to display for 350 seconds. The hotspots and other images I inserted do not disappear; only the initial screen capture I recorded. Any ideas as to why this may be happening and a resolution?

As working off a network or USB drive could cause unusual behavior. If the file was not local, you may be able to resolve the issues by importing it into a new project as described here.
If the behavior persists on a new file (not the original or imported version) when conducting your screen recordings, please conduct the repair of Storyline detailed here.
