Using Storyline 360, the screen recordings show areas of my screens that I haven't selected. I use multiple monitors and when I select a specific screen/monitor, I still get part of the other monitor. For one of my monitors, I only see a black recording. I previously used Storyline 2 and never had this problem. (I LOVE Storyline 360 otherwise!) Please help.
Hi Katie! I am using 100% on the two monitors I will use for screen recordings. The other monitor is my laptop and it is at 150%. I've also tried only using the two without having the laptop monitor in use, but still have the same issue. Please let me know if you have any other ideas. Thank you for your response!
Hi Katie. I found a fix I can use for now. I can change the DPI for my two monitors attached to my laptop to 150%, the same as the laptop. My Storyline app looks fuzzy, but my recording areas are correct. The resolution is "okay" in the systems I'm recording, though zoomed. I change the DPI back to 100% after recording so that the fuzziness of Storyline goes away.
That's about all I can figure out on my own. Do you think the Support Team will have a better resolution?

Sorry to hear you're running into this, Shari.
I'd love to help unravel the mystery! What are the DPI settings on each display? We typically recommend using 100% or 96 DPI.
Let me know if that helps, or if your displays are already configured to this. Happy to explore further!

Hi, Shari. I appreciate you checking that detail!
For next steps, I would try the tips outlined in this guide when sizing screencasts: Recording Screencasts: Size and Position the Recording Area
If those tips don't seem to help, would you be willing to connect with our Support team so we can run some tests to get to the root of the behavior?
