Redesigning a Series of Courses
Feb 15, 2019
We have 18 courses in a series that we'd like to redesign. They were designed about 4 years ago and now look dated. They all have narration. There are 3 of us on our eLearning Designer Team.
I opened one of the courses and created several slide masters, selected a new color scheme and new fonts. Applying them to the existing course was pretty tedious. In addition to thinking about the best way to present the existing information, I had to...
- Apply the new layouts
- Copy and paste text that was in individual text boxes into the title and body text boxes
- Reapply animation to text
- Re-sync animation with narration
- Redesign layers
- Eliminate unnecessary branching by creating new layers
- Find additional photos
Question: What is the most efficient way for our team to update the remaining 17 courses with the new design?
I thought creating a template that we can all use might work, but that seems like a better tool if we were starting from scratch.
