Remember the True or False choice when navigating questions

Apr 04, 2019

I am building a 20 question quiz without feedback (they'll know if they passed when they get to the Results slide).  I have added a "previous" and "next" button to each slide to help students navigate  back to recheck answers or return to questions they have skipped.

The questions are all True/False or Checkboxes. If I select a checkbox answer and then come back to it later via these buttons - it remembers the answer chosen. However, if I navigate back to a T/F question it doesn't let me know what I chose.  I am thinking I need to change the state, but I don't know how to set it up so that it will pick the selected answer - either True or False. I want that "selected" state to remain - even after navigating away and back.

Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

Hey Jen!

I have a hunch that you may need to adjust the revisiting setting in Slide Properties on those True/False slides.

  • Click the gear icon in the lower right corner of the Slide Layers panel, or right-click the slide and choose Properties.
  • On the When Revisiting dropdown, be sure Resume Saved State is selected.

Let me know if that solves it!
