How do I remove the 'next' and 'back' buttons that appear automatically on screen - and how do I remove the Menu bar on the left of screen? I want to insert my own menu, buttons, etc.
globally you can disable/move the menu in the Player properties.
With the built in navigation buttons you can customise whether they appear or not for each slide individually - you do this in slide properties. Hve a look at the screenshot for the reference.
I've tried this using an Articulate 360 trial, and am not finding the option to remove the Prev & Next buttons. Is this the case because it is a trial? Or am I looking in the wrong place?
The trial version of Articulate 360 is exactly the same as the subscription version, so you're not missing out on any features!
Here's a quick video to explain how to remove the previous and next buttons from all slides in one step. The trick is to use Ctrl + A to select all slides in Story View first. Then you can uncheck the navigation buttons in the slide properties pane.
