Remove course title and logo for one page only.

Jul 09, 2014

Hello! The layout of my Storyline course is fairly typical - a client logo in the upper left, below that a menu, the main stage to the right, the course title above the stage to the left, and the Previous and Next buttons on the lower right.

I have devised a way to create a Certificate of Achievement the student can print after passing the course's final assessment. However, the printout includes items I'd rather not have appear. I want only the certificate, located on the stage, to print.

This certificate is located in a separate scene. I removed the menu and the Previous and Next buttons for that page/scene only. However, I cannot find a way to remove the logo and the course title. If I could do that, the only thing that would appear on a printout of the certificate is the certificate itself.

Any ideas?

Hi Rick,

Using Storyline's built in player features, the logo and title will appear throughout the entire course. There is not an option to remove them for an individual slide or scene. I don't know how comfortable you are with Flash coding, but you could set up your own player using the Storyline SDK. You may also want to look at this method of creating a certificate that the users could print and would not be contained within a Storyline slide.

Hi Rick,

I may be having a moment of deja vu, but did we discuss something similar in another thread? You'll need to include the option to print results on the results slide and then the report.html file will be generated as a part of your published output. You'll find the report.html file in the story_content folder of your published output.

Hi Rick,

Where are you looking at the report.html file? You'll want to ensure you follow the directions here:

As this is not something officially supported in terms of modifying the published output, I'm unable to assist with editing it, but if it's not generating at all, I'll want to be able to take a look at your .story file to see how it behaves.
