Removing Seek Bars from Layers

I have a slide with several layers. I have the layers showing when the timeline of the base or previous layer ends. I have one audio track for the entire slide including the layers. When the base ends and it goes to the layers, the seek bar starts over and the audio mutes. Is there a way to have the seek bar from the base continue through all the layers and have the audio continue as well? The reason is I'd like this slide to function like a video. Is this possible?
