Removing the PREV button from a particular slide

Oct 11, 2013

Good Morning,

MY ISSUE: To avoid the confusion, I just want to remove the PREV button form a particular slide within a scene. Is that possible? (see background below)

================================================

I'm updating a simple course that includes a self-check question for each topic. Students are given 2 chances to answer and, if unsuccessful, feedback is provided. I intend for the students to read the feedback then click CONTINUE to move to the next topic.

Unfortuntely, the PREV button displays on the slide giving students the impression that they can go back, review, then retake the self-check. It's not necessary for them to do that as the feedback refers the student to a content job aid to help them review the item that they incorrectly answered. Once they select PREV the system will let them go back but they wouldn't be able to answer the question again.

Additionally, I had a tester move through the mini-lesson, and she indicated that when she went back and couldn't reanswer the question she go lost and couldn't figure how to navigate away from the slide. To avoid the confusion, I just want to remove the PREV button form a particular slide within a scene. Is that possible?

I think I need to remove this as a problem. I revisited the course and now I'm not sure what has caused the tester trouble. Prev/Next buttons are not offered on the Quiz slide, which makes so much sense based on the screenshot I posted above. Thank you both for your time. I starting to suspect that the issue is not SL.

I have created a Pretest with 2 slides in Articulate Presenter: http://iti.articulate-online.com/5051981133

There is a PREV button on the Results slide. How do I delete this PREV button?

On Monday I am going to give an online timed Final Exam with 100 questions to 360 students who will be taking it in 4 different sessions throughout the day. I do not want the students who take it earlier in the day to be able to review the quiz and tell the students who will take it later in the day what was on the exam.

Thanks!

Rebecca

Hi Rebecca and welcome to Heroes!

You'll need to update the original file and then republish to Articulate Online. In Storyline you'll need to fix it on the individual slide properties, and in Presenter '13 you'll access it from the slide properties window.

When you're ready to publish again, follow the directions here to ensure that you have one course within your Articulate Online account.
