replacing exisitng images with new ones

Dec 09, 2012

Hello,

I have already inserted images in a scene and added other elements such as sound and video as well. there are a number of slides in the scene.

Now, i need to change some of the images. but if i do so, i will have to make changes to other elements on the slide and the timeline also.

I thought of replacing the exisiting image files with the new ones with same names. but could not locate the folder where Storyline stores them.

is there any way that i can do this faster and without affecting the timeline.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks a lot, This is exactly what i wanted.

i didnt think it would be so simple and easy. i tried the same with audio and video as well. and found that audio and vido could also be changed in a slightly different manner.

if you right click the video on the timeline, the video editor opens. and there is tab which says change video. so i selected the video i wanted to replace the existing video.

For an audio, if you right click the audio, the audio editor opens. you can delete the entire audio and import a new one in its place.

Great!

I would like to see these 3 elements all working in the same way, just some functionality "tidying" I guess, however as you say.... "simple and easy".

Normally I just delete the audio from the Timeline and replace rather than opening the audio editor, but there are several ways to do the same thing.
