I recently built a course utilizing gamification. I'd like to add an element that records their high score (it's not scored as a percentage, but as a game score such as 1,100 points). I heard that you can do this using javascript. Where can I find resources on how to do this? My LMS only supports SCORM, so I assume I'll have to host an outside website for the javascript to report to as well.
Cool idea! if you're looking for someone to help you out with the Javascript behind this, you may want to post it again with Javascript in the title so that our community members who are well versed in Java will see it. I'm no Javascript expert, so I'll defer to the community for that. :)
In the mean time, check out this Leaderboard that Keith developed - it relies on a platform outside of Storyline, but it might work for you!
