Reporting on Learners Answers to Quizzes through an LMS

Jul 06, 2018

I've received a request to see how each learner is answering each quiz question vs. just an overall grade or percentage. We use Workday Learning as our LMS. Is it even possible to provide a read out of how each learner is responding to a quiz within a Storyline course?

Hi there, Moriah! Here's a handy list that shows the data Storyline sends to an LMS; student_response is how the learner answered the question ☺️

And once that data is compiled in your LMS' database, there's really no limit to what kind of analysis you can perform (assuming your LMS grants access to the data).

I hope that helps, and let me know if you have other questions!

Hi Kelly,

In case you don't hear back from Moriah in this discussion, you could always use the "contact me" button on a ELH users' profile to reach out to them directly!

Also, I'd suggest touching base with your Workday Learn admin, they should be able to walk you through pulling reports and what types of information you'll be able to gather in the LMS.

Keep us posted - I haven't run into this LMS often - so it'll be good to know what you find out!

Hey Kelly and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

I'm not sure if Moriah is still subscribed here, but I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot.

Sorry to hear that you're having difficulty with your reporting. I'm not familiar with Workday Learn, but I'm curious if you experience a similar issue when you upload the content to SCORM Cloud or if the issue is limited to your specific LMS.

If you have a .story file that you'd like us to take a look at, we can certainly do that as well.

Hi All,

I'm a Workday Learning customer and have insight on this issue. The problem is not with Articulate, but with Workday. They've had an open request to support this kind of detailed-level SCORM reporting for 2 years now. Frustrating to many, they seem to continue to focus on developing other features and putting this one aside, it continues to be slated as "Future" on the roadmap but without a promise tying it to a specific release. I recommend that you go to the Workday community and find the brainstorms on this issue and vote and be vocal about your needs for this feature. Occassionally Workday reprioritizes to address when enough customers complain.
