For best results, use an image that is a maximum of 200 pixels wide and 220 pixels high. If your image doesn't fit within those dimensions, Storyline will scale it to fit.
Note: When you add a logo to your sidebar, Storyline includes a border and slight shadow on it. If you want to change or remove either of these, no problem—you can customize their colors (or make them transparent) by modifying your player's color scheme.

You can add a logo, but if you disable the menu on the side, you'll still see some empty space in the player. It's not currently possible to remove that extra space or move the logo to another position.
If you're wanting to add a logo to your course and customize the location, you can try inserting your logo image in a Master Slide. This way, the logo will show throughout your course and you will have more control over how and when it's displayed.
