Reset Variable

I am making a game: "Who is a millionaire" by storyline, each sentence I have 3 help is a, b and c.
In the first 5 sentences, if I make a mistake in sentence 1,2,3,4, I have to start again from sentence 1 (reset variable) and the 3 helpers show up from the beginning.
However, if I answer correct 5 sentences in a row and use one aid, then at question 6 I only have 2 assists. However, if I get it wrong in sentence 7, I have to redo sentence 6. If I keep using the reset variable, the 3 lifts will appear instead of the 2 lifts as I want them to.
Is there a way to fix this?

Please do add a sample, because your explanation doesnot make the problem clear enough..
